"Nest Egg Developments have done 2 significant jobs for us in the last 2 years. The first was a substantial extension on our private house. This included a new open plan kitchen dining area, an office, a utility room, a play room and a bedroom upstairs. They later put an en-suite in the master bedroom. The second project was again a big job, this time at our children's nursery. We had a class room built into the loft space (including a new staircase), a bridge built, linking the classroom to our first story outdoor playground (which they also constructed) and the main corridor extended to become a new cloakroom area.
I think Nest Egg Developments break the mould when it comes to builders - they are great to work with. I never had any problems with communication with any of the guys on the job or in the office. At the time of the house extension, I was on maternity leave so I was there all the time with a new baby. It was difficult at times but the guys really helped out as much as they could - leaving me a dishwasher for as long as possible!! When things cropped up - and they will - we would always sit and discuss the options they would always do their best to bring it in at the lower cost. The guys on the job were all great with ideas when it came to the finishing touches and they were always clean and tidy.

"Being in the construction industry myself, I was keen to apply the same logic and methods to our new extension build as I do to multi-million pound college or hospital projects at work. I'm pleased to say Nest Egg also work in a similar manner; to call them a Builder is doing them a dis-service, they're a Small Contractor.
Prior to appointing Nest Egg I received references and viewed previous projects of about six local building companies and Nest Eggs' workmanship and client feedback was consistently of the highest standard.
Nest Egg worked with my Architect and I throughout the design process, giving cost advice, feedback and commentary regarding buildability and material selection. They built up their price on an open-book basis, with an agreed profit for themselves. This enabled a risk free process to both Nest Egg and myself, ensuring they were fully aware of our requirements throughout the design and ensuring I was kept abreast of the financial implications of every decision I made.
What could potentially be one of the most stressful days, start on site, was one of the most exciting, as there were never ay questions of "Would they turn up on time?" or "Will the quality of their work be up to scratch?". I knew that there would be no such issues, and there wasn't. From day one Nest Egg resourced the project with courteous, hard working, skillful operatives and tradesmen and worked diligently, to an agreed programme and in all weathers, thanks to Richard's drive and management of the process.
There were issues and problems during the build, there always is, but through good communication and a non-adverserial attitude all problems were resolved quickly and to our mutual satisfaction. Problems were never allowed to fester and grow, always discussed openly and honestly. Ben was a major facilitator of this process.
Our extension was finished, to our complete satisfaction, on programme and to the agreed budget. There were no unsubstantiated on-costs, no hidden extras and no claims for unforeseen variations: Nest Egg operate with honesty and integrity and are a hard working and trustworthy company that I would whole-heartedly recommend for any building project.

"I worked with Nest Egg developing and extending our 1920´s Edwardian house. The remit was to completely refurb the interior and to build an extension to the rear. Nest Egg were involved from the early design ideas throughout until completion. This involved the moving of walls, a kitchen extension and a completely new heating system amongst other things. It was an excellent working relationship and a pleasure to work with people dedicated to customer satisfaction and a real pride in producing good quality work.
They were always mindful of our two young children and the fact that this is a family home and never treated it like a building site. They were on time, tidy and courteous at all times. I have worked with many builders in my time as a designer and Nest Egg certainly have stood out from the crowd with regarding to customer care. It was an open and honest relationship where every decision was made with costings, design and practicality considered.
We will be extending our loft sometime in the future and we will most certainly be using them again. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
